As a Migration Consultant specialized in Microsoft 365 Teams and SharePoint, you will play a crucial role in helping our clients seamlessly transition from various systems such as file servers, Alfresco, SharePoint on-prem, and other document management systems to Microsoft 365. You will leverage your expertise in migration strategies, technical proficiency, and client engagement to ensure a smooth and efficient migration process. Your key responsibilities are going to be:
Assessment and Planning
- Conduct thorough assessments of existing systems (file servers, document management systems, SharePoint, etc.) to understand data structures, dependencies, and user access permissions.
- Collaborate with clients to gather requirements and develop migration plans tailored to their specific needs.
Migration Execution
- Implement migration strategies, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Execute data migrations from various sources to Microsoft 365, maintaining data integrity and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve migration-related issues promptly.
- Break down complex challenges into smaller, manageable components. Creativity is essential as the transformation rules may be constraining.
Documentation
- Create comprehensive documentation of migration processes, configurations, and best practices.
Collaboration
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, project management, and client stakeholders, to ensure successful migrations.
Requirements
- Bachelor‘s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
- Proven experience in migrating data from file servers, SharePoint, and other document management systems to Microsoft 365.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365, particularly Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Strong understanding of migration tools and methodologies.
- Knowledge of FME and/or AvePoint Fly is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills and a real teamplayer.
- Exceptional communication and client-facing skills.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation.
- Familiarity with compliance and security considerations in data migration.
- You speak English fluently and enjoy a multicultural environment at work.
